The ANJC continues to advocate for New Jersey chiropractors in response to efforts by Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield and other carriers to restrict when providers may perform medically necessary X-ray studies. These policies can interfere with a chiropractor’s clinical judgment and ability to determine the most appropriate course of care for each patient.
To address these concerns, the ANJC has developed a researched position paper outlining our opposition to these restrictions and supporting the right of trained chiropractic professionals to make appropriate clinical decisions. This position will also be provided to relevant state agencies as part of our ongoing advocacy efforts.
