Shockwave Therapy Workshop Draws Nearly 100 Attendees for Cutting-Edge Training

In an era of rapidly advancing healthcare technologies, providers face both a challenge and an opportunity: how to integrate innovative treatments that improve patient outcomes while expanding their clinical offerings.

One such breakthrough—Shockwave Therapy—is making waves in musculoskeletal medicine as a non-invasive, evidence-based regenerative treatment. From weekend warriors battling chronic pain to seniors coping with degenerative joint conditions, the demand for safe and effective solutions continues to grow. Devices like the EMS DolorClast® High Energy are redefining how practitioners approach conditions such as rotator cuff tears, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis, and osteoarthritis.

That promise of transformation was on full display at the 2025 ANJC Fall Intensive, held Saturday, October 18, in partnership with ScripHessco. Nearly 100 healthcare professionals from across New Jersey and beyond gathered for an immersive, hands-on learning experience led by Dr. Christoph Schmitz, a world-renowned researcher in radial shockwave technology, and a team of EMS clinical experts.

A Day of Learning and Collaboration

Attendees experienced a comprehensive program that went beyond theory, featuring live demonstrationscase-based instruction, and practical techniques for integrating shockwave therapy into real-world patient care. Participants also gained insights into patient selection, treatment protocols, and outcome optimization—knowledge designed to enhance both clinical results and practice growth.

Why It Matters

Shockwave Therapy is more than a tool for symptom relief—it activates natural healing, stimulates tissue regeneration, and accelerates recovery time. For many clinicians, incorporating it into their care models represents both a clinical advancement and a business opportunity, expanding access to effective, non-invasive treatment options for a broad range of patients.

A Connected Professional Community

In addition to expert instruction, attendees enjoyed opportunities to network with peers, industry leaders, and vendors over a continental breakfast, buffet lunch, and refreshments throughout the day. The energy and engagement in the room reflected the chiropractic community’s growing commitment to innovation, evidence-based care, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

As one participant noted, the event “combined cutting-edge science with hands-on practicality—exactly what today’s clinicians need.”

The ANJC thanks ScripHessco and EMS for their support in delivering this dynamic program and looks forward to continuing to bring members world-class educational opportunities that advance the profession and elevate patient care.
