Treat The Active Patient: Fascial Line Perspective Treatment Concepts
Fascial lines are crucial in any approach to treating the active population. Largely impacted by the work of Thomas Myers and his book highlighting fascial lines, Dr. Edward Camacho’s entire practice style morphed, and proceeding outcomes improved. Focusing on athletics & evaluating movement patterns within a particular activity reveals a large influence on fascial lines to aid in full-body power or skill generation.
Injuries, restrictions, and/or repetitive movements create the necessary patterns to be affected in a lengthened or contracted position, ultimately reducing the patient's ability to perform at their highest potential.
Identifying the fascial lines affected by observation and motion evaluation gives the practitioner the information needed to make an instant impact. Release the restricted lines of pattern and activate the opposing, elongated lines of pattern.
