The ANJC is honored to present the:

  • Chiropractor of the Year Award to Dr. Victor Rossi, ANJC Board President
  • Trail Blazer Award to Dr. Peter J. Scordilis, CCSP
  • Board Service Award to Dr. Joseph D’Angiolillo
  • Board Service Award to Dr. Daniel Fuzer

Chiropractor of the Year

Victor Rossi, DC, ANJC Board Vice President

Dr. Victor Rossi was exposed to chiropractic as a child, not only as a patient but as an active observer.

He recalls visiting his great-grandmother and watching with keen eyes his family’s chiropractor make house calls to treat his great-grandmother suffering from maladies, including rheumatological conditions and relative immobility. He recalls witnessing the sometimes seemingly miraculous transformation in his great grandmother post-treatment.

Dr. Rossi began his academic career at Rutgers University obtaining his baccalaureate in Physiology and Zoology. He then continued his studies at Rutgers Graduate Cardiovascular Physiology program. While working in the graduate program, Dr. Rossi realized laboratory sciences were not his forte, requiring much too much solitude working countless hours in a very defined specialty. He was much more of a people person, and his early childhood experiences led him to pursue his dream job of being a chiropractor.

Following his graduate studies at Rutgers, Dr. Rossi began his chiropractic career at the New York Chiropractic College (NYCC). He graduated cum laude from NYCC, earning several distinct honors upon graduation, including the Outstanding Technique Award and Distinguished Service Award. Dr. Rossi, a city dweller most of his youth, moved to Brigantine upon his graduation from NYCC. He began practicing in Egg Harbor as an associate in 1990 and has since become the principal shareholder in his practice, Spine One Chiropractic. Dr. Rossi has successfully grown his single office practice to a four-location Chiropractic group employing a team of five (5) doctors and over 20 staff members. He is proud to tout the dedication of his associate doctors and staff and is always crediting his office manager of 30+ years, Christi, who has been a constant source of inspiration for expansion and growth.

Dr. Rossi has focused much of his career on the treatment of patients injured in motor vehicle trauma, sports trauma, and day-to-day lifetime wear and tear musculoskeletal maladies. He has logged countless hours in post-graduate education in trauma-related coursework, most importantly, MRI interpretation. Dr. Rossi has been admitted by the Superior Courts of NJ countless times as an expert witness in chiropractic and an expert in spine MRI interpretation. Dr. Rossi has been awarded the annual “Top Docs” distinction for outstanding NJ Chiropractor consecutively since 2013. He has also been awarded the ANJC Distinguished Service award in 2019. He continually receives high accolades from his patients and colleagues alike for always striving for excellence in both clinical skills and personal bedside mannerisms.

Established in 2004, Dr. Rossi is a charter member of the Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC). He is currently serving his third two-year term as its Vice President. In addition, Dr. Rossi serves as the Chairperson of the ANJC Continuing Education Committee as well as the Chairperson of the ANJC Legislative Committee. He is committed and determined to give back to his profession and pass the torch to the next generation of chiropractors in NJ.

Dr. Rossi juggles the demands of his multi-office practice in addition to his ANJC responsibilities but still finds time to enjoy his family and travel as much as feasible searching for warm climates, calm waters and blue skies. He is passionate about the outdoors and is frequently heard telling patients, “Anything below 70 degrees is too cold for me.”

Trail Blazer Award

Peter J. Scordilis, DC, CCSP

Dr. Peter Scordilis, CCSP is a lifelong resident of North Jersey and an alumnus of Clifton High School and Rutgers University. After studying Genetics at Rutgers, he realized that a life in the laboratory was not for him and initially planned on a career in Orthopedic Surgery. After shadowing an Orthopedic Surgery practice he further understood the need for non-invasive and preventative care.

Growing up around Chiropractic and watching his father treat professional and Olympic-level athletes made the decision very simple. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, where he also received the Research Award and the Clinical Excellence Award.

As a lifelong athlete in a wide array of sports, including football, snowboarding, karate, triathlon, mountain biking, and distance running, he saw the need for comprehensive prevention and injury care. Dr Peter furthered his experience by attaining Certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP) from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians, Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA and a Level 1 Triathlon Coach from USAT. He was the team Chiropractor for Team NRGY Triathlon.

His intimate knowledge of athletics puts him at a unique place to assess your condition and help you to avoid future injuries. He knows how to get you back on the road, track, field or trail quickly and keep you there without injury.

As a father of three, Dr. Peter has expanded his knowledge of treating pregnant mothers and children. He works closely with several obstetricians, midwives, doulas, and lactation consultants to help make pregnancy, postpartum recovery, infancy, and childhood development as pain-free as possible. As a founding member of Scordilis Health & Performance Center Dr. Peter is proud to continue his devotion to the most advanced care of his patients. He has been published in several peer-reviewed journals, has presented at the ACC Research Agenda Conference and is the author of two textbook chapters on MRI diagnosis. He currently serves on the ANJC Continuing Education Committee and has been active in the ANJC Sports Council since 2007.

Board Service Award

Joseph D’Angiolillo, DC

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Joseph D’Angiolillo returned to his hometown, North Brunswick, and established the D’Angiolillo Chiropractic Center in 1985. In 2010 he relocated his office to Somerset, NJ. Located on the border of North Brunswick and Somerset. Since then he has been serving thousands of our residents in Somerset, North Brunswick, South Brunswick, Franklin Township, New Brunswick, and the surrounding Central New Jersey communities.

Dr. Joe D’Angiolillo has been a true leader at the ANJC, serving in many positions, including Board President. While his tenure as a Board Member officially ended in October 2023, he still serves as Chair of the Legal Committee. He makes himself available whenever the ANJC needs guidance, with a clear understanding of how and why decisions were made. He’s honest. He’s fair. A true gentleman and friend. We are very grateful for Dr. D’Angiolillo and his board service!

Board Service Award

Daniel Fuzer, DC

Dr. Dan Fuzer has served in many roles within the ANJC throughout his board tenure, including Secretary and as a member of the Legislative Committee. Dr. Fuzer has been a representative of the South Region for the ANJC. Being a board member requires a substantial time commitment — and when you’re driving from South Jersey to monthly board meetings, it’s an even bigger time commitment.

Over the years, Dr. Dan Fuzer has been a source of insight and guidance that only someone with his experience and longevity in the profession can provide. He is thoughtful and open-minded, always thinking about how decisions made at the board level will affect our entire membership. We are truly grateful for Dr. Fuzer and his continued dedication to the ANJC!
