The Association of New Jersey Chiropractors (ANJC) joins voices across the state in expressing wholehearted congratulations to Tahesha Way, Esq., on her appointment as Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey. Governor Phil Murphy’s selection follows the tragic passing of Lieutenant Governor Sheila Y. Oliver earlier this summer.

A Testament to Public Service

We honor Lieutenant Governor Way’s sustained commitment to public service,” stated Suzanne Corson (ANJC Executive Director) and Dr. Andreas Skounakis (ANJC Board of Directors President). “Her stewardship as Secretary of State, particularly during challenging times like the pandemic, and her efforts in bolstering the arts and business sectors stand as a testament to her dedication to the people of New Jersey.”

During the swearing-in ceremony, Governor Murphy spoke of the legacy left behind by Lieutenant Governor Oliver, describing her as an unforgettable partner. “While no one can truly replace her, I am deeply proud to appoint Secretary of State Tahesha Way to succeed her as Lieutenant Governor,” Governor Murphy commented.

A Bright Future for New Jersey

The ANJC particularly resonates with Lieutenant Governor Way’s sentiments about being molded by public servants and understands the role that those in public office play in enhancing the lives of residents. As a trusted body representing the majority of licensed chiropractors in the state, we remain dedicated to advocating for accessible, top-quality chiropractic care.

With Lieutenant Governor Way’s appointment, we anticipate a continued drive toward equity and justice. We pledge to support her position and office, offering resources and expertise as she embarks on this pivotal career chapter.

Way’s storied career in public service, her leadership roles at state and national levels, and her legal acumen promise a vibrant future for New Jersey. As she steps into this role, the ANJC stands ready, as always, to collaborate, support, and work towards a healthier, more equitable New Jersey. We echo the sentiments of the Oliver family, proud and hopeful for the legacy of service and dedication that Lieutenant Governor Way is poised to carry forward.
